I am Kelsey, a Birmingham, AL photographer who has been practicing since 2015. In the spring of 2018, I received my BFA in Studio Art with a focus on photography from Birmingham-Southern College. I work with various photographic media, including Polaroids, 35mm, and digital, with a primary focus on Polaroid and toy camera photography (Lomography). My photography explores the relationship between place and self and what defines the word “home.” My artistic influences are Sir David Bailey, CBE, David Hockney, Larry Fink, Andy Warhol, and Stevie Nicks. My work is both happy and sad, fun and serious, simple and intricate; my work both reveals and hides who I am from the world. My work is my home.
